I started a rag rug back in January. This is how far I have gotten! As you can see from the pile of braids, I have much more work to do. (I will post a picture later when I finish.) The cats are having fun playing with the braids, especially Miles.

It's a boy!!
Luke Everett Brown. Wood letters for Luke's room. I painted the letters blue then added blue, green and orange scrapbook paper to the top. After that, I accented the letters with buttons in the same colors as the scrapbook paper. I can't wait to hang these up!
50 Sucks!!
Sean's mom turned 50 in March. I found this cute idea on pinterest. I put 50 hard candies in a jar and added a label that says 50 sucks This would make a cute little gift for any age 30, 40, 50, etc. Thanks pinterest!

I LOVE Books...and Bookends!
A few years ago, I found these bookends at a yard sale. The black finish was starting to come off and they didn't look too good. I decided to redo them with cute scrapbook paper and Mod Podge. I put new felt on the bottom to prevent scrapes on my bookshelves. I think they turned out cute. Must find more at future garage sales! :)
More Mod Podge
I made these tile coasters for my mom's birthday. Since they were fun and easy to make, I decided to make more. Here are two sets of 4 coasters. I tied ribbon around each set. Now, they are ready to give as gifts. Here they are:
Another one done!
Another project I started this summer was a baby quilt for a friend. This quilt was made of left over material and scraps I had here at the house. I love the music print, but don't love the yellow and black. This is not my favorite quilt, but it is done. I think it looks better from a distance! I'm glad I don't have to look at it or work on it anymore and can begin a new quilt. Here's a picture of the front and back of the quilt.
Time to Catch Up
Since January 1st, I have completed several projects that have been on my "to do list" for sometime.
The first project I completed was a mod podge planting pot. The pot was just an old clay pot that I decorated with starburst candy wrappers. I had Sean eat the candy on a camping trip during the summer so I could use the wrappers for this project. So, as you can see, this project has been on the list since early July! Finally done, yay! Now, I just need to get a flower or plant in there during the spring.
